Monday Tuesday Wednesday 8-10th January waiting

Monday Tuesday Wednesday 8-10th January waiting for windows.

Well emailed and phoned the Spanish window company for some sort of time estimate when  would my plastic bag windows get turned into glass!
Apparently  early next week, they have the one window but the other one is on bag order.  Talk about Mañana mañana.
Meanwhile I tried to open car and start removing the inner door lining and I could not.. I got 9 flashes which meant my key battery had gone flat!
Luckily I had a spare which was not on the bags that got stolen, but in my main bag. It worked phew. I had been cycling round with my passport in my pocket and all my keys and I did notice when I cycled up to my car the other night the indicators were flashing which meant I had locked it in my pocket.
Now I must get two new batteries and when I have windows find a Smart garage which can remap the keys to the car.
I tried to get the batteries in loads of shops near me with no luck.
Started doing gardening for Ken as I am going to be here another week!
I found another foot pump which can pump up both car valves and cycle.

It was cloudy Tuesday and temperature was down a bit.

Had a coffee and brandy down on beach, had a salad had to leave some it was so large.

View from foot bridge over the road from Villamartin to beach.

Wednesday cycled to San Miguel to have lunch and what'sapp video called the Lazy Riders who were in the White Horse Swavesey in the rain. 17 deg here.

Going back home to finish filling out my claim form. Still remembering more stuff missing. My cycle chain oil, a wd silicon can and a plastic bottle with dry cycle oil.
Watched the old men in the bar playing dominoes, they were playing a game I had not seen before. Instead of only being able to put a domino on each end of the game. You could put a piece on each side of a double.

Also they had no money nobody had a drink in over an hour watching them. I said in England you would be all thrown out. They laughed.
My bill for drinking and eating since 1pm to 5.30
1 mixed salad 4.2
1 brandy 1.20
3 beers 1.20 each
2 coffees 1.00
Total 11 euros... I gave the lady 2 euros tip!

Sun was setting as I cycled home , gets cold as the sun goes down.

view as sun sets the shade rushes towards Torrevieja.

Sunday 7th January - walked to buy a beard shaver and pulled a Spanish bird

Sunday 7th January - pulled a Spanish bird.

Got up fairy early for me and walked down to the shopping centre to the media Market to buy a shaver and to see how much a new Sat Nav will cost with a 32 Gigabyte micro sd card.
 Walked along the canal
Down to the large market in which there is a Media Mark. Saw all the RV vans thought of my mum n dad, and my friends Gill and Keith.
Loads of colourful sweets in the entrance hall.
I found exactly the same model I had, which was good, even cheaper than when I bought it on 2016.

And the micro memory card also cheaper but then memory has come down in price.

Did not buy them until insurance gives the OK.

Bought my beard shaver I had a Remington multi beard shaver not quite the same as mine which did cost about £35. So again this is cheaper, but has a European plug but need it as beard is starting to itch me.
On the way home stopped at a little cafe and pulled a Spanish bird.

Mind you it could of been an ex-pat as it was a sparrow.

Got back in time for a full English Roast beef lunch at the Drivers bar, three courses for €9.95. Hit the spot.

Watched football match in Chemies bar, yes the photo was of start of F. A Cup match Nottingham Forest young boys against the great Arsenal.   Hey Forrest won 4-2 what a game the second goal by an 18 year old was absolutely marvellous.

My mate Bruce, at home in Haddenham with the flu had gone home and used all his tissues up.. Not for sneezing.

Wednesday to Saturday 6th January waiting for a window

Wednesday 3rd to Saturday 6th January waiting for a window

I had to buy some things to replace stuff that was stolen, cycling socks, inner tubes, and a lock for my cycle on the cycle rack.

I have to buy new sun lotion Guess where my other bottle was!

Had a 3 course Thai meal for €10 euros which included a large glass of vino tinto.

Two pairs of cycling socks for
€3.99 which was a good price.
Saturday morning it rained but my new plastic bag window kept the rain out of my car still no news when I will get new glass yet.
Spent the best part of Saturday afternoon in a Bar with WiFi filling out a claim Form to get the claim started. I hate forms.

Tuesday 2nd January - stuck at Torrevieja with no window.

Tuesday 2nd January - stuck at Torrevieja with no window.

I finally managed to get through to the glass company here in Spain to tell them I am no longer at Cartagena but 100 Miles away.
They asked me how long I would be there, I said as long as it took I cannot drive the car if there is rain.
So Ken and Ann took me out to forget about all the stuff that was taken. I kept rembering stuff, silly stuff like my beard trimmer, and my green Paisley tootal scarf.

I have to think of the things they did not take, like my QualPharm cycling shoes with me a dirty pair of socks inside them. The two bottles of wine in a box from Barrahonda for Beth n Zoe. An €80 bottle of Adddlmanac. Some other presents for Zoe n Beth, an inverter that plugged into the cigarette lighter. My fly fishing rod itself.
Ken Ann and I have a breakfast drink.

I now find a bar that shows flamenco.

Ann and I wait for Ken  to sort out his cars  insurance. The waiter brings two pints instead of a pint and a half.
Does that sign say Don Bigasshole?
Ken finds another bar.

Ivan with his dog Bella a lovely spanial.

Apparently I rest my eyes while Ken watches some football game.
